Science Saturday: Light
1-3 pm Saturday, April 29
KU Natural History Museum

What is light and how do we perceive it? How do we see color? How do animals such as insects and fish communicate with light? Join us for an afternoon of science activities at Science Saturday: Light, on April 29th from 1-3 pm. This family-friendly, drop-in event to explore light will feature activities created by KU students in the KU Natural Science Community Organization, NSCO. And because we love science podcasts, here's a prep tip: listen to the Radiolab podcast about light and color, and the many ways of seeing.

Celebrate Earth Day
11:30 am - 4 pm Saturday, April 22
South Park, 11th and Massachusetts St.

Join us in South Park for the city's Earth Day celebration. We will be in the park encouraging people to learn about the role of microbes in soil. We'll have petri dishes available to grow your own microbes for our microbe exhibit at the museum. Later, you can stop in to see what you grew!
